H1N1 Shortage?
There will be a shortage of the H1N1 vaccine in Ontario which will force many immunization clinics to close according to Health Minister Deb Matthews. Ottawa has said it will have 1.8 million doses of the vaccine sent to provinces and territories for next week. Is that enough though? Who is at fault here?

Gun Registry Is Going, Going...

The Federal Conservatives have enough votes to give approval to a bill that would kill the gun registry for rifles and shotguns. The vote passed 164-137. Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff supported the principle of the registry but gave MPs the right to vote how they wanted. Is the gun registry still important or just a waste of money?

Looks like we may be looking at a fare hike for the TTC riders in the New Year. David Miller has promised a price freeze this year to help people who have been hit by the recession. There will be about a 100 million dollar shortfall on next year's operating budget and there are 3 ways for the TTC to raise operating revenue. The 3 ways are cut service, increased subsidies from the government, and fare hikes. Are you prepared to pay more to ride the TTC?

What Is The Deal With Blackface?
An Australian variety show had 5 men dressed in wigs and had their faces painted to represent the Jackson Five. However, Harry Connick Jr. was not impressed and told the program if he had known this was going to be on the show he would not have appeared. Are we too sensitive? Is this all in fun?
