Electronic Hands Free Device Day
Keep you hands on the wheel and not on your cell phone. A new law has come into effect in Ontario banning all electronic hand held devices. That means no phone calls with your handset or text messaging while driving your motorized vehicle. There will be an education period within the first 3 months and police officers may show some leniency. Is it about time this became law and how are you being affected?

No Breaks for White Collar Criminals
The Federal government is moving to stop early parole for non-violent offenders which is aimed at individuals who have scammed investors out of millions of dollars. They are also widely known as white collar criminals. The change would affect these criminals who take their victims for more than 1 million dollars - they would serve at least 2 years in jail. Is this a waste of taxpayer's money or should these laws be put into place to protect people who lose their money to Ponzi schemes.

A Taos, New Mexico hotel manager told his workers they could not speak Spanish in front of him. He insisted he did not know if they were speaking ill of him in his presence. His next idea was the make sure they changed their names to make them sound more "English" His policy did not go over well and some employees were fired.
