The POWER & MONEY SHOW has been a regular Sunday morning fixture on AM640 Toronto Radio since 1999. The show discusses such topics as financial, estate and retirement planning, mortgages and investments…helping our loyal listeners make the most of their money. Power & Money is co-hosted by award-winning talk show host, Arlene Bynon.

Alan Cameron
Branch Manager

Alan has over 15 years of investment industry experience and has been practicing as a financial planner since 1992. Prior to moving to the Newmarket office in 1999, he was the Branch Manager and owner of the London office of Investment Planning Counsel, which included eleven other investment professionals. Prior to that he spent more than two years as an index option trader. He also operated several small business corporations in Toronto.

Alan attended the University of Waterloo and York University, where he studied economics and political science. He completed the Canadian Securities and the Conduct and Practices Courses and has life insurance qualifications from the Life Underwriters Association of Canada. He also taught the Retirement Planning section of the CFP at London’s Fanshawe College as part of their Financial Planning Certificate Program.

In London, Alan hosted a weekly financial program on CKSL radio for two years. He has also appeared with Garth Turner and Gordon Pape on local and national television broadcasts, and has appeared often on ROBtv’s Talking Tax program in addition to several appearances as an expert guest on other television and radio programs including the CTV and CBC networks. Alan currently practices in North York where he hosts the Power and Money Show on AM640, and has for eight years. Power and Money is a live, call-in radio program airing each Sunday morning from 9-11 a.m. covering a wide variety of investment and financial planning topics. He is a CARP recommended advisor, having undergone their certification process.

Alan leads a team committed to providing complete and comprehensive financial planning services to clients. Clients are assured of receiving the broadest and most responsive planning information and consulting possible.

Mark Parlee, FMA
Investment Advisor

Mark Parlee started in 2000 with London Life building expertise in Segregated Funds, Life, Critical Illness and Disability. With this experience Mark moved to a full service investment firm, Edward Jones gaining experience with stocks, bonds and mutual funds. After several years helping clients with estate & retirement planning, Mark then moved his business to IP Securities (Investment Planning Counsel), where he partnered with Richard Heinrich incorporating his training and experience to develop full wealth management plans.

Mark is a former Police Officer with 12 years of law enforcement experience and finished his policing career with the Drug Enforcement Unit. Mark went on to become the Executive Director of D.A.R.E Canada.

Mark has been married to Amanda for over 20 years living in Mississauga with their two wonderful daughters Alyssa and Caitlin.

Richard Heinrich, CFP
Investment Advisor

Richard G Heinrich started in the financial services industry in 1992 with a money management firm building his expertise in analytical research and disciplined investing. In 1997 Richard moved to The Bank of Nova Scotia as a Senior Analyst in the accounting department. In 2002 using his analytical & accounting background he decided to move into the retail planning industry to help individual clients with their financial needs. After several years helping clients with estate & retirement planning, Richard moved his business to IPC Securities (Investment Planning Counsel), where he partnered with Mark Parlee incorporating Mark’s training and experience to develop full wealth management plans.

Richard is a native of the beaches and attended University of Guelph. He is married to Lori and has two wonderful children Stephanie and Richard Jr. Richard also has two wonderful grandchildren, Payton & Paige.
