CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

THE AM640 LEAFS TRIVIA CHALLENGE


1. THE CONTEST AND THE CONTEST PERIOD

The AM640 Leafs Trivia Challenge (the “Contest”) commences at 7:20 a.m. on Monday October 5th , 2009 and concludes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday April 2nd , 2010 (the “Contest Period”).

3. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to residents of Ontario, who are 18 years of age or older, but excluding employees and directors of CFMJ-AM, Corus Entertainment Inc. (“Corus” or “Contest Sponsor”), any affiliate (as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act) of CFMJ-AM or Corus (the “Affiliates”) employees, directors and officers of their respective advertising and promotional agencies, as well as family members of any of the foregoing.


4. HOW TO ENTER AND WIN

To qualify, log on to www.640toronto.com and become a registered member of “THE 640 INSIDER” by filling in an online registration form in full. All previously registered 640 INSIDER members are eligible to enter the Contest. Once a member, listen to AM640 (CFMJ-AM) for the trivia questions weekdays at 8:20am and 4:20pm during the Contest Period.
When you hear the question, visit www.640toronto.com, click on the Contest page and follow the “ENTER NOW” link to submit your answer. Deadline for entries is approximately ninety minutes following the announcement of the question.

- Each weekday morning one entrant will be selected by way of a random draw from all correct entries received during the ninety minutes. John Oakley will reveal the correct answer and announce the winner at approximately 10:00am each day.

- Each weekday afternoon one entrant will be selected by way of a random draw from all correct entries received during the ninety minutes. Bill Watters will reveal the correct answer and announce the winner at approximately 6:00pm each day.



5. THE PRIZE
(234) Two hundred and thirty four prizes will be awarded consisting of a pair of tickets to a Toronto Maple Leafs home game played at the Air Canada Centre (date and seating location to be determined by contest sponsors).

6. THE PRIZE VALUE

The approximate value of the Prize is $90.00

7. DEADLINE FOR CLAIMING PRIZE

Prize winners must claim the Prize by 5:00 p.m. on the day that the tickets are scheduled for (the “Deadline”). If the tickets are scheduled for a weekend game, the winner must pick up the tickets by 5:00pm on the Friday before the weekend game. If any Prize winner fails either to claim the Prize or to inform AM640 of his or her inability to claim the Prize before the Deadline, his or her entry will be forfeited.

8. EXPENSES

The Prize winner is responsible for all incidental expenses incurred in connection with accepting the Prize, including, but not limited to transportation to and from the Air Canada Centre (the “Expenses”). The Prize winner understands that he or she may not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from AM640, Corus, the Affiliates, the Sponsor or their respective advertising and promotional agencies.

9. LIMITATION ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES PERMITTED

Only one entry per contest occasion is permitted. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are reproduced, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Multiple entries will be discarded.


10. CHANCES OF WINNING

Chances of winning depends on the number of eligible entries received during the week preceding the applicable draw.


11. NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES

Neither AM640 nor Corus makes any representation or offers any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Prize. The Prize winner understands and acknowledges that he or she may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from AM640 or Corus should the Prize fail to be fit for its purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory to the Prize winner.



12. DECLARATION AND RELEASE OF PRIZE WINNER

Before being awarded a Prize, the potential Prize winner and his or her guest(s) must:

a) Correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited skill-testing mathematical question; and

b) Sign a standard form confirming that by entering the Contest:

? he or she read, understood and accepted these rules and regulations;

? that he or she understands that acceptance of the Prize may involve danger and/or exposure to risks and hazards of both man-made and natural origin, whether arising from foreseeable or unforeseeable human error and negligence, and that, as a result, he or she may suffer damage to personal property, serious personal injury, illness or even death;

? that he or she nevertheless freely and voluntarily agrees and does hereby assume any and all risks of personal injury, illness, death arising out of or connected with his or her participation in the Contest and winning the Prize; and

? that he or she releases AM640, Corus, the Affiliates, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (“MLSE”), the National Hockey League and its member teams, NHL Enterprises Canada LP, and all of their directors, officers, employees, agents as well as their respective advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability arising in connection with participation in the Contest and acceptance and use of the Prize, including, without limitation, any financial, legal or moral responsibility or loss or personal injury including death or damage to or loss of property suffered or incurred or arising from participating in the Contest or accepting the Prize, whether suffered by the Prize winner, or by his or her heirs, administrators, personal representatives or executors, and notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by any act, omission, negligence or gross negligence of any or all of the Releasees.


13. PRIZE TO BE ACCEPTED AS AWARDED

The decision of the Contest judges is final, and each Prize must be accepted as awarded. No portion of a Prize is transferable. The Prize is not redeemable for cash and no substitute for any portion of the Prize is offered. Should the Prize winner be unable to claim the Prize as awarded, his or her entry will be forfeited.


14. SUBSTITUTION OR CHANGE TO THE CONTEST

Contest Sponsor and its advertising and promotional agencies reserve the right to substitute any Prize or any component thereof, for those of approximately the same value and reserve the right to change the Contest rules or terminate or withdraw the Contest at any time, without prior notice.


15. OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES

All entries shall become the property of Contest Sponsor and its advertising and promotional agencies. The Releasees assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, destroyed or otherwise indecipherable entries due to any failure or technical malfunction of the telephone network, on-line computer systems of equipment, servers, access providers, software, poor reception, technical problems, failure of any email or submission or due to any other reason regardless of cause.


16. CONSENT TO USE OF PERSONALITY

By entering the Contest, each entrant, including the Prize winners consent to the use of his or her name, city of residence, photograph, voice, likeness, image or any other aspect of his or her personality for any publicity and programming purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media used by AM640, Corus, the Sponsor, promoters and their advertising and promotional agencies, without any payment or compensation. The Prize winner further agrees that his or her audio reaction may be used for on-air promotional purposes. The entrants understand and acknowledge that AM640 may contact him or her on-air without prior knowledge as a result of his or her participation in the Contest.


17. CONSENT TO COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

By entering the Contest and voluntarily providing personal information including, but not limited to, name, address, city, email address, home and office telephone numbers (the “Registrant Information”), each Contest entrant grants permission to AM640, Corus and the Sponsor to the collection and use of the Registrant Information for the exclusive purpose of administering the Contest and selecting the Prize winners. No correspondence will take place between AM640, Corus and the entrants except in connection with the Contest and, in the case of a Prize winner, as a result of entering the Contest and winning the Prize.

19. COMPLIANCE WITH CONTEST RULES

All contestants agree to abide by the Contest Rules, which are subject to change at the sole discretion of Contest Sponsor.


20. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS

This Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all federal, provincial, territorial and municipal laws and regulations of Canada and of each province, territory and municipality of Canada, respectively.


21. PRIZE SUPPLIER

Participants in the Contest acknowledge that MLSE’s only involvement with this Contest is as prize supplier and MLSE has no responsibility or liability with respect to the administration of the Contest or the awarding of the Prizes and all such responsibility and liability rests with the Contest Sponsor.
