A man working as a court officer with Toronto Police for the last year is facing charges after a woman was robbed at gunpoint just after 9:00pm Wednesday evening. She had answered a knock at her apartment door in the Lake Shore Boulevard and 6th Street area; 3 men, one armed, pushed their way in and demanded property. It’s not known what they managed to take before leaving the scene. Police managed to catch up with two of the three men. 25 year old Steven Reid is now facing 6 charges including armed robbery and forcible confinement. A 23 year old, Vinroy Ellis was also charged in the incident, and police are looking for one other suspect.
Police believe there may be other victims and are asking for those who have been targeted to give them a call.
