    Canadian Tire Announces Recall

    Canadian Tire is recalling an unknown number of Mastercraft battery chargers because of problems with overheating. There are have been some reports of minor property damage. The batteries, which were sold in its stores between 2000 and 2009, have the model No.54-2973. It was sold with Mastercraft 18-volt cordless drill kits and combo kits. Canadian Tire asking owners to immediately discontinue using the charger and contact Techtronic Industries, toll-free at 1-800-597-9624, for information on having a replacement charger shipped to them at no cost.
