The City has recently added land transfer taxes and vehicle registration fees to help balance its books.

But, with the city still deep in the red, more user fees are being considered.

Among them, a $50 fee to set-up a property tax account and $35 to transfer ownership of existing water and solid waste utility bills.

The city would also be raising the costs of some fees that we already pay.

Toronto Budget Chief, Shelley Carroll mentioned implementing a Toronto sales tax.
