A fare hike appears to be in the works for the TTC.
The commission has moved up its monthly meeting to give it enough time to implement a fare increase for New Year's.
It looks like an additional 25 cents would be likely bringing the adult fare to $3.00 even and raising an extra $45-million per year.
That still wouldn't offset the need for the TTC to ask for an extra $80-million in subsidies.
