Winnipeg Police have charged two men from British Columbia after a vehicle was stopped for speeding last week near Portage Avenue and the Perimeter. Officers found 7 kilograms of cocaine powder with a street value of 385-thousand dollars.
27-year old Kenneth Brandon Tubbs and 26-year old Trevor Anthony Mahon of Surrey were charged with trafficking, and possessing for the purpose of trafficking.
An update now on a story you heard first Monday on CJOB. It was that stolen vehicle chase that found its way to the Health Sciences Centre Monday afternoon. Two suspects were nabbed. Police believe the pair may also be responsible for earlier robberies. While one suspect was arrested at the Health Science Centre.. the other was picked up by the Police Services Tactical Support Team.. working with the canine unit. 20-year old Justin Michael Henderson of Winnipeg, and a 16-year old boy face a long list of charges.
