Health Minister Kevin Falcon is sticking to his story even though the Government of Saskatchewan is now denying it ever discussed paying a premium to send hundreds of hip and knee patients to B.C. for surgery.
Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall and now that province's Health Minister Don McMorris have both categorically denied Kevin Falcon's claim their discussion ever mentioned extra fees....but today Falcon was still telling reporters it's a good idea, "That's a calculation that the Saskatchewan government has to do, I would still argue they would get very good value."
N.D.P. Health Critic Adrian Dix says it's become clear Falcon doesn't know what he's talking about, "Minister Falcon was just making it up, that there was no truth to what he was saying, that B.C. wanted to sell spots in British Columbia but that Saskatchewan wasn't interested in paying the premium."
Dix maintains any extra surgical capacity should go to British Columbians.
