The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are going to the playoffs for the
first time in five years.
The 8-and-9 Cats clinched at least third place in the East
Division after Edmonton throttled
B-C 45-13 on Friday night in Vancouver.
The win gives the 9-and-9 Eskimos third place in the West
Division while pushing the 8-and-10 Lions to the brink of elimination.
The only way the Leo’s can make the playoffs now is as a
cross over team.
That can only happen if the Ticats beat the 7-and-10 Blue
Bombers on Sunday in Winnipeg.
CHML’s coverage of the game begins with the pre-game show at
noon.
Kick off on Y108 and AM900 CHML is at 1pm.
A Hamilton win
in the ‘Peg would set up a Ticats vs. Lions East semifinal at Ivor Wynne next
Sunday, marking the first time the Cats would host a playoff game since 2001.
It would also mark the return of quarterback Casey Printers
to Hamilton.
Although the former Ticats pivot injured his thumb in B-C’s lopsided
loss to the Eskimos.
Buck Pierce re-injured his shoulder, forcing third stringer Zac
Champion into the game.
