The sales pitch continues at Burlington's Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital.
Officials have given local Liberal cabinet minister Ted McMeekin a tour, as they lobby the province for funding of a more than 300 million dollar expansion and redevelopment..
The hospital has also requested 60 million dollars from the City of Burlington.
McMeekin, who recieved a first-hand look at the plans on Friday, says he'll champion the proposal and "plant the seeds" to move it forward.
The first stage of redevelopment at Joe Brant would include construction of a six-storey tower, a new ICU, additional acute care beds and operating rooms and increased capacity for diagnostic imaging and cancer care.
Hospital officials hope to start redevelopment within five years.
