A 34 year old cyclist from Missassauga is in serious condition in hospital, after he was struck by a vehicle in Burlington.

The collision happened just before 9 o'clock on Tuesday morning, at the intersection of Highway Five and Guelph Line.

Halton Police say the cyclist was not wearing a helmet.

He was struck by a Ford Escape, as the 66 year old driver was making a left turn onto Guelph Line from Dundas Street.   The intersection was closed for about four hours for the investigation.
