Some dramatic evidence at the Yellowknife trial of a man charged with murdering a Mountie.

A jury has heard the suspect -- Emrah Bulatci -- told his girlfriend that somebody should ``take care'' of a cab driver who was a potential witness in the case.

The 25-year old Bulatci is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Constable Christopher Worden on October 6th, 2007 in Hay River in the Northwest Territories.

Yesterday jurors heard excerpts of taped conversations Bulatci had with his girlfriend and father while he was jailed in Yellowknife after Worden's slaying.

In one conversation he tells his girlfriend she should try to get her father to ``send somebody to take care of the cab driver.''

And in a conversation with his father, Bulatci says if one man in the case doesn't show up, he'll ``get out right away.''

Bulatci has admitted shooting Worden, but claims he didn't mean to kill him.
