Alberta's Liberal party won't need to change its stationary any time soon.
For months, some members have been bandying about the idea of a name change for the party.
But Liberal Leader David Swann says that idea was nixed at today's annual general meeting in Calgary.
"It's very clear that there isn't an appetite to change the name," Swann says. "So, that's off the table now, and we're going forward as proud Alberta Liberals."
The push for a name change came after a disappointing showing in 2008's provincial election. The Liberals lost seven seats, coming away with wins in only nine ridings.
