Silverdome sells for $583,000?

I know that my job is to report basketball and this has everything to do with football. But, the Silverdome, a building that once housed the Detroit Lions, a building that cost $55,000,000 to construct was sold to a Canadian real estate company for $583,000.

WHAT?

To put that into perspective. A house in my East York neighbourhood last year sold for 550,000 dollars. Yeah, one house.

I don't know if I should chalk this up as the deal of the century or chalk it up to the collapse of the Detroit metropolitan real estate prices.

Cheers,
MC

It's no secret that Bosh is in a contract year and for the majority of sports fans, a contract year means higher than normal production from a player looking to cash in. Welcome back Pops

The Toronto Raptors Announced today that they have acquired fan favorite, Pops Mensah-Bonsu off waivers from the Houston Rockets.

I really enjoyed Pops when he was in a Raptors uniform. He provided instant energy off the bench and was a rebounding machine. The addition will give Toronto a little more grit under the basket and give Triano 7 big men to play around with.

Welcome back Pops,

MC
