Parents are asked to have a game plan ready for this weekend, as the city opens registrations for winter season recreation programs.
Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. Saturday December 3 for Etobicoke/York and Scarborough, and 7:00 a.m. Tuesday December 6 for residents in North York, Toronto and East York districts.
Prior to registration online, residents should make a list of choices for the season, complete with program titles and bar codes, obtain a family number and client number to log in and register, and a have payment method ready, or credit on the account, if fees apply.
Not sure what to register for? Residents can use the “search programs” option, in order to build a list which includes backups in case their first choice fills up.
During the last registration session in September, 90% of users were able to log in, in less than 11 minutes and on average, once they were logged in, each registration took just over 7 minutes.
A reminder to those who want to register for a program: you must set up an account. You can call 416-338-4386, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or speak with staff at your local community centre to get a family number and a client number.
