It’s surprising to say it but we have played Final Fantasy XV and it’s good. A simple sentiment for those yet to be indoctrinated by the FF sirens call but this game is a monolith for this who love JRPG’s. Announced nearly ten years ago under the name Final Fantasy Versus the series is hoping to deliver a game true to form, winning back those who have strayed and reinforcing the loyalty of it’s adherents.
As some of the Final Fantasy flock myself and Anton Mac and say definitively, Final Fantasy XV is good. The scale of goodness will be determined after dozens of fights, camping trips, and difficult to navigate localization.

If you’re not interested in listening to our dulcet tones extol the virtues of this landmark game. Understand one thing, one simple truth that this game (and other games of this caliber) possesses.
A game where the sum of it’s parts equal something so much more powerful than anything singled out. Final Fantasy XV makes you; fall in love with the characters simply, gives you depth of combat, exploration and ownership of the world and never stops being interesting.
This is done in simple ways. There are 4 different animations for Notics to jump over a knee high wall versus a shoulder high wall.
Your party members will complain in different intervals in you force them to run, fight or stand still for too long.
The sun set’s the same part of the sky every night.
Simple things, but the one guiding vision in animation, game design and art direction have created an initial experience I cannot WAIT to lose my life to.
