The fallout continues for German automaker, Volkswagen after the diesel emissions scandal.
It has announced it will be trimming about 30,000 jobs in effort to cut costs. It’s also looking to invest more in electric-powered vehicles and digital services.
The majority of the eliminated positions will occur in Germany.
Under a recent settlement with American owners and authorities, Volkswagen agreed to pay out $15 billion.
Around 11 million vehicles globally had the deceptive software, which turned off the emission controls.
There has been no deal for Canadian Volkswagen owners as of yet.
