Nine people have been charged, including six teenagers and a 12-year-old girl, with a total of 111 offences after police said a raid on a home in Toronto’s north end turned up automatic weapons and ammunition. Toronto police executed a search warrant on a residence in the Victoria Park Avenue and Finch Avenue East area Tuesday as part of a firearms investigation.
The firearms-related charges ranged from careless storage of a firearm, to possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with the serial number of a firearm.
John Oakley talks to criminal lawyer and AM640 contributor Joseph Neuberger to tell us whether the teens are charged as a result of just being in the house during execution of the search warrant. He tells us the 39 year old charged in the case cannot be identified to protect the identities of the minors in the case.
