Toronto Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after a TTC bus driver was allegedly threatened with a knife and had his dispatch radio line cut.
Officers were called at around 7:45 p.m. Friday when a man riding a bus in the Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue East area became upset and created a disturbance.
The bus driver tried to call TTC dispatch for help, but police said the man pulled out a knife and cut the radio cord and then threatened the operator before leaving.
Police described the man as between 25 and 30 years old, 5’6” and having a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black vest, dark-grey cargo pants and a black toque with red and white stripes.
Officers said the man should be considered armed and dangerous. Police asked the public to call 911 if they see the man.
