A toddler was treated for minor scrapes after he was found playing with a syringe that was left in a children’s playground.
Police responded to a call at Charles G. Fraser public school on Manning Avenue, Just north of Queen Street at around 7 p.m. Saturday night.
The child was unharmed.
Police were unable to determine what kind of substance was in the needle.
A similar incident to this happened earlier this year when a 15-month-old child found prescription pills in Bellevue Square Park in Kensington Market.
The child did not ingest one of the pills however, the mother of the child had to take a pill out of the it`s mouth.
Police would later go on to find several blue pills scattered across the park.
