Toronto police have identified the U.S. man who was beaten to death at a Little Italy bar early Saturday morning.
26-year old Julian Jones of Maryland, was punched and had his head stomped on in an unprovoked attack around 2:30am at College St. and Manning Ave.
He was later pronounced dead on route to hospital.
Detective Rob North says Toronto police has video footage and are prepared to release photos of the suspects in the next couple of days.
“Not only do I want the two individuals who are responsible for the assault and murder of Mr. Jones to turn themselves in,” he says. “I want the six to eight other males who were involved with them, who may not have participated in the assault and murder to come forward and do the right thing.”
Jones was celebrating a friend’s bachelor party at the Blnd Tger bar when he was separated from his group and confronted by the other group of seven to nine men.
The two suspects accused of assaulting Jones are described as 26 to 27-years old.
The first was described with a slim build, short black hair and was wearing a black top and pants at the time.
The second suspect was described with a large build, similar to a football player, and was wearing a black hooded top, black skinny pants and had a full beard.
Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto Police (416) 808-1400 or Crime Stoppers (416)222-TIPS.
