Toronto police are looking for the public’s help in tracking down a man wanted for allegedly assaulting a TTC operator on-board a train in late July.
According to police, the train operator was working on a northbound train near Wilson subway station at around 3.p.m. on Saturday, July 30th, when he and the suspect had some sort of a disagreement.
It’s alleged that the man then pushed the operator and grabbed him by the neck, before TTC customers stepped in and separated the pair.
The suspect fled when the train arrived at Wilson subway station.
He is described as being in his mid to late 20s, approximately 5’9″ tall, weighing 190-200 lbs., with a chin strap beard, and tattoos on his right arm and right side of his neck.
He was wearing a blue New York Yankees baseball hat, grey sweatpants rolled up to his knees, and running shoes.
Police have released a security camera image of the suspect and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
