The FBI is reviewing recently emerged emails that may contain classified information in its probe of Hillary Clinton’s private server, according to the Associated Press.
Previous investigations by the FBI wrapped up this past July.
A letter sent Friday to congressional leaders says new emails have come to light and have prompted investigators to take a second look. It was later noted the emails did not come from Clinton’s private email server, but rather, were discovered during an unrelated FBI case.
Sensitive government information could have flowed through the private email server Clinton used while serving as secretary of state.
This latest information could allow the FBI to reopen the criminal investigation just days before the election.
