The numbers were impressive for the this year’s edition of the Canadian National Exhibition.
The 2015 version of Toronto’s fair packed in 1.54 million people from it’s 18 day run of August 19th through September 5th.
That’s shy of 2014’s record attendance which was 1.6 million.
“We are thrilled with this year’s attendance figures; the bar was set very high in 2015 when we had 18 days of perfect weather,” said CNE Chief Executive Officer Virginia Ludy. “Despite a few days of rain and it being the hottest summer on record, visitors came out in droves, thanks in part to some of the new and exciting programming that we offered.”
The 2015 version featured some new attractions including waterfront events, headlined by a daily water ski show and three days of tech talks, consumer products and an emerging innovators pitch competition.
Next years CNE is set for August 18th thru September 4th.
