A three alarm blaze earlier in October at an unlicensed rooming house has lead to charges for a 72 year old woman.
The blaze on October 11th was severe enough to send one Toronto firefighter to hospital with serious injuries after he was pulled from a two-story building in the city’s Little Portugal neighbourhood on Dufferin Street near Alma Avenue.
Celia Gilda Gomez, 72, of Toronto, has been arrested by Toronto police and charged with two counts of Arson by Negligence, Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm, Mischief Endangering Life, and Mischief Under $5000.
Gomez is scheduled to appear at Old City Hall on Tuesday.
