One person has died after being struck by a GO Train east of Rouge Hill GO station.
Police say the incident happened just before noon when the Oshawa 11:08 train to Union station struck a person and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
GO Transit says trains are holding until further notice for the investigation.
Metrolinx Spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins says “there will be disruption on the Lakeshore East Line and it may back up the Lakeshore West line as well”.
GO Transit confirms trains will operate between Union & Guildwood, & Pickering & Oshawa. Buses will run in between.
