The Heritage Classic Alumni game brought greats such as Teemu Selanne, Paul Coffey, Grant Fuhr and Mark Messier back on the ice. The list goes on and on, but the most notable return was The Great One himself.
Gretzky however, didn’t make the score sheet, and was disappointing in his playing. He admitted to not being on skates in two years, and at one point even tripped over the blue line.
Was this heartbreaking to see the idols of a generation back on the ice, far from their prime? Or were you just excited to see them play at all, regardless of their skill level?
