Toronto police released surveillance video from nearby businesses on the night 17 year old Jarryl Hagley was gunned down.
The video is a timeline compilation of several cameras in which combined footage shows three hooded males and a get away vehicle as the prime suspects in the murder.
Homicide Detective Paul Worden detailed the video in a press conference on Friday afternoon, in which he said two males one with a sawed off shotgun and the other with a hand gun carried out the shooting. Both shooters wore dark clothing with their faces covered by hoodies, and we’re inside the Pizza Pizza only about 5 seconds as the sprayed the restaurant with gunifre.
The third suspect was likely a lookout trailing behind the shooters. His face is the most visible of the three, and he was dressed in a dark hoodie and blue jeans.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a black Toyota Rav 4, which circled the restaurant prior to dropping off the three culprits in a parking lot. After the shooting the vehicle remained in the parking lot facing the street for a quick getaway.
17 year old Jarryl Hagley was eating with friends inside the Pizza Pizza location on Weston Road, north of Lawrence Avenue around 1:45 A.M., overnight Sunday.
The victim had no vital signs when he was rushed to a trauma centre. He died in hospital later in the morning.
