A Toronto man is facing charges in connection with a collision in the Davenport area of the city earlier this month, which left a 98 year old man dead.
The elderly man was attempting to cross Davenport Road, on the west side of Ossington Avenue, shortly after 11.a.m. on Wednesday October 12th, when he was struck by a pick up truck.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital where he died two days later.
The 52 year old driver, who has not been named, has now been charged with careless driving, failure to yield to a pedestrian and making an unsafe turn.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, December 15th.
