Toronto police have laid more charges on a temporary civilian clerk who made unauthorized queries of the police service’s database.
28 year old Erin Maranan was originally charged in July of 2016 with two counts of breach of trust. On Wednesday, she had 22 more charges added to the list with 20 more counts of breach, one count of perjury and one count of personation.
Lawyers say the searches were not for official police business and were made between February 2014 and September 2014.
Maranan appeared in a Finch Avenue courtroom on Wednesday to face her 24 charges.
