Toronto police are now dealing with yet another traffic fatality.
The latest is the 64th death on a city road and it involves a 98 year old who was trying to cross Davenport Road on the west side of Ossignton.
The collision happened just after 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 12, right around the time the SIU was investigating the death of a construction worker hit by a BMW.
The elderly man was struck by a 2006 Ford F-150 pick-up truck, northbound on Ossington Avenue, attempting to make a left turn to westbound Davenport Road.
The 98 year old man received life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. On Friday, October 14, 2016, the man succumbed to his injuries.
The 52 year old driver of the truck remained on scene. There has been no determination on any charges, at present.
