The search for suspects, one of whom was believed to be armed led to two schools in Mississauga being placed under a hold and secure order for a time on Friday afternoon.
Peel Regional police say they were called to the scene in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Confederation Parkway at around 2.p.m.
Officers say they were assisting Toronto police in the search for for a number of men wanted in connection with an unspecified investigation.
As a result, two nearby schools, Huntington Ridge Public School and St. Matthew Elementary were placed under a hold and secure.
Two suspects were subsequently arrested while two others remain outstanding.
The hold a secure order was lifted for both schools at around 2.45.p.m.
