An 82 year old woman struck by a cyclist in September, has succumbed to injuries suffered in a hit and run.
Toronto police responded to personal injury collision in the Parliament Street and Spruce Street area on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at about 1:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers observed an 84 year old woman with serious injuries.
According to a report, the woman and a man, 75, were walking westbound across Parliament Street and were struck by an unknown cyclist who was travelling southbound in the right lane on Parliament Street.
The 75 year old suffered minor injuries while the the 84 year old sustained a broken shoulder and pelvis.
She died in hospital on Thursday, October 6th as a result.
The cyclist fled the scene before police arrived.
The cyclist is described as a white man, approximately 5’8”, heavy build, possibly wearing a green bicycle helmet.
Police believe there were several people that witnessed the ordeal and even may have spoken to the cyclist.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
