A two vehicle crash in Brampton Monday night claimed the lives of four people.
Peel police were called out to the Bovaird Drive and Hurontario Street area, at Gillingham Drive, just before 9:00 p.m., and when officers arrived, both vehicles were engulfed in flames.
It appears one of the vehicles crossed the median and collided with the other vehicle.
Police indicate a 49 year old Brampton man was behind the wheel of one of the vehicles, and the other vehicle was being driven by a 24 year old male from Georgetown, with two Brampton sisters, a 22 year old and 16 year old, as his passengers.
The crash remains under investigation, and speed is being looked as a possible factor.
The area remains closed Monday morning, but it’s not clear when lanes will reopen.
