Three accidents that happened within’ days of each other on Eglinton Avenue, are now on the books as fatalities.
All of the deceased were seniors.
The first on Friday, September 30th around 7:30 p.m., police responded to a collision at Eglinton Avenue West and Hilltop Road.

A 43 year old man was driving a Chrysler van, eastbound on Eglinton Avenue West, approaching Hilltop Road when he hit a 96 year old man attempting to cross the street.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital, and finally succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, October 6th.
The following Sunday, police responded to a call at Eglinton Avenue East and Winter Avenue.

An Acura driven by a 24 year old attempted to make a left turn to westbound Eglinton Avenue East from Winter Avenue and hit an 81 year old man riding a mobility scooter who was trying to cross in that intersection.
The senior suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital and pronounced dead on Wednesday, October 5th.
Finally, on Sunday October 2 around 7:45 P.M., a 76 year old man driving Ford Edge eastbound on Eglinton Avenue East hit a woman trying to cross at Midland Avenue.

The woman, 72, suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital, and pronounced dead on Wednesday, October 5th.
