Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has reached out to several communities in southwestern Ontario who have been affected by floods.
Trudeau says his thoughts are with those affected by the widespread flooding in Windsor, Tecumseh and Lakeshore.
The mayors of in those municipalities have declared a state of emergency for those regions and they are asking for support from higher levels of government.
According to officials there were more than 1,700 homes that have been damaged in that area.
Environment Canada is warning the residents there of more rain throughout the weekend.
We're thinking of the residents impacted by flooding and cleanup efforts. It's a good time to lend a hand to a friend, family or neighbour.
