Toronto police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in a fraud under $5000 investigation.
The suspect reportedly contacted a business in the Adelaide Street West and Duncan Street area on Friday 12th August pretending to be a local business owner.
He allegedly told the manager of a neighbouring business that they were to receive and pay for an expected delivery.
Shortly thereafter, the suspect showed up posing as a delivery man, dropped off the package and obtained payment.
It was later discovered that the real business owner was not actually expecting a delivery.
Security footage of the suspect was released as seen below.
A second incident was also reported on Wednesday 17th August where the same man entered a business in the area of Queen Street West and Brock Avenue and committed a similar fraudulent delivery.
He is of medium build with black hair in a ponytail.
Anyone with information is being encouraged to contact Crimestoppers.
