One of Canada’s fastest growing cities will get a $1.5 billion dollar condo project constructed in its city centre.
A private company owned by the family of the late media mogul Ted Rogers has announced plans to build a 10-tower, 4.3-million-square-foot residential condominium development at the southwest corner of Burnhamthorpe Road and Confederation Parkway.
The land was bought in the 60s while it was still considered farm country.
The family says the “M City” project has been in the planning process since 2007.
The development will feature privately owned condos and rentals, as well as two acres of public parkland.
