Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are getting ready to square off in the first debate of the U.S. presidential election, which takes place at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York on Monday, September 26th at 9 p.m. ET.
The debate will be about 90 minutes in length and it will be broken down into six segments that will each be about 15 minutes long.
The candidates will discuss major topics selected by the moderator (Lester Holt of NBC Nightly News) who will open each segment with a question and both Clinton and Trump will have two minutes each to answer once they respond.
Then each candidate will have the opportunity to ask each other questions and it will be up to the moderator to conduct the discussion evenly.
The debate was previously scheduled to be held at Wright State University in Ohio, but the school had to withdraw due to budget concerns.
The next debate will take place on Tuesday, October 4th.
