A Toronto man has secured himself a day in court after a Parking Enforcement Officer was recently assaulted.
Last Friday September 9, around 6:00 p.m., an officer was enforcing rush-hour routes in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area, and placed a ticket on the windshield of a parked vehicle.
As the officer was returning to her car, she was approached by a man who allegedly tossed the ticket at her, and when she attempted to give it back to him, she was pushed.
It’s further alleged the man attempted to open her car door, but fled once he discovered it was locked.
A few hours later, he surrendered to police.
Jin Jua Shao, 33, has been charged with assaulting a peace officer, and is due to appear in court next month.
