The Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board are reporting more than 30 school bus delays for Sept. 8.
School officials say the delays are part of an “unanticipated bus driver shortage” affecting students who use Attridge Transportation, Wheelchair Accessible Transit or Sharp Bus Lines.
Similar problems took place Wednesday afternoon as the board scrambled to manage the number of students returning home from school.
According to the school board’s website, some of the inbound and outbound delays can last up to an hour or more.
