The Ontario government is starting a campaign to train workers, mainly those in restaurants, how to protect themselves against sexual harassment. The campaign is going under the name #ItsNeverOkay and the government will put $1.7 million into the project.
The training will teach workers what to do in cases of harassment, and how they can ensure they will be looked after if they are a victim.
The question is, what about common sense? The program has great intentions and serves a very real issue in the industry, however how much money does a campaign such as this really need?
Do you think $1.7 million is justified, or is this even necessary at all?
