It was a very memorable viral video in which a blogger caught a Toronto cab running a cyclist off the road on Bay Street in mid August.
As expected, police laid charges against the cab driver.
What might be a surprise is the cyclist has now also been charged.
A statement released by Toronto police Sunday afternoon, alleges the cyclist reached into the cab and assaulted the driver at one point during the incident.
31-year-old Baldeep Cheema of Brampton faces one assault charge and is scheduled to appear in court on October 17th.
Cheema, on his bike, and the taxi were both heading northbound on Bay near Gerrard Street, when the accused allegedly got into a verbal skirmish with the cab driver.
Around 5:45 P.M., the courier reached into the cab and worked over the driver.
Both continued along Bay with the cab eventually swerving and pushing Cheema off the road and dumping him on the pavement.

The taxi driver, identified by police as Thornhill resident Ali Farkhondehfall, has also been charged with assault with a weapon and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He is also scheduled to appear in court in October.
