The summer may be winding down but there are still plenty of events taking place over the Labour Day weekend to help you make the most of the last long weekend of the season.
The annual event is winding down for another year, with the Ex set to close it’s gates on Labour Day, marking the unofficial end of summer.
However there is still plenty of time to take in all that the CNE has to offer with one of the main draws of the exhibition taking place this weekend.
The 67th annual Canadian International Air Show will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m, featuring the Breitling Jet Team, CF-18 Hornets and the world famous Snowbirds
The last fireworks display of the season takes place at the Vaughan amusement park on Labour Day.
The show is set to get underway at 10.p.m on Monday, weather permitting.
The 22nd annual Fan Expo kicked of at the metro Convention Centre on Thursday and runs right through until Sunday.
The Expo is Canada’s largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event with 130,000 fans expended to attend.
A number of big names are also scheduled to appear including Mark Hamill of Star Wars, William Shatner, Kevin Smith, Adam West and Burt Ward.
Traffic restrictions will also be in place as a result of the expo.
Downsview Park Ribfest
For meat lovers, Downsview Park is the place to be this Labour Day weekend, with Downsview Park Ribfest taking place.
Organisers say there will be something for everyone however, not just die hard ribs fans, with live music, a beer tent and amusements for the kids among the other attractions.
The Festival is taking place in Woodbine Park this year and runs from Friday right through to Labour Day.
Money donated at the gates will go towards Epilepsy Toronto.
