It’s September 1st, the day Ontario residents begin paying more to drive.
The driver’s license fee jumps to $90 from $81.50.
The cost for renewing a license plate in southern Ontario will increase 12 dollars from $108 to $120.
The fee for sticker renewal was 74 dollars just five years ago.
The province says the fee hikes will help maintain roads and highways.
“Updated fees help maintain the province’s transportation infrastructure and provide resources to help keep Ontario’s roads safe.”
