A Toronto man is facing first degree murder charges after a suspected crossbow attack in Scarborough on Thursday.
Police were called out to a home in the Lawndale Road and Knowlton Drive area, near Kingston and Markham Roads, just before 1:00 p.m., and found a woman and two men with life-threatening injuries.
The trio were pronounced dead at the scene. According to local residents in the area they have now been identified as the family members of the suspect.
One man was taken into custody at the scene.
Neighbors indicate a widowed woman lived at the home with one of her sons, possibly two of them.
Brett Ryan, 35, is now facing three counts of first degree murder.
Police had earlier confirmed this incident was related to a suspicious package call they had responded to in the Queens Quay and Lower Simcoe area, Thursday afternoon.
It’s not clear what was found, if anything.
