A 50 year old Toronto man who has numerous convictions for sexual offences involving kids, is facing yet more charges after allegations he exposed himself to a 12 year old girl.
According to police, the girl was in the 81 Mary Street area in downtown Toronto at around 3.p.m on Tuesday, August 9th when she was approached by the man.
Investigators say that the man then exposed himself to the girl and followed her when she left the area before exposing himself again.
William Douglas Shorten was arrested on Wednesday, August 10th and has now been charged with two counts of indecent exposure to a person under the age of 16, one count of criminal harassment, one count of invitation to sexual touching and four counts of failure to comply with probation.
Shorten has faced and been convicted for a variety of other charges, between 1998 and 2007, he was convicted of 12 offences involving children between the ages of 5 and 14 years old.
The assaults all occurred in public places, mainly in downtown Toronto and North York bookstores and libraries.
Most recently he was convicted of exposing himself to a 12 year old girl in a book store near Yong Street and Eglinton Avenue in 2014.
Police are concerned there may be other victims and are urging anyone with concerns to come forward
