Toronto Police say that two teenagers have been arrested for a robbery in North York.
According to investigators the incident took place around 7 p.m. at a local variety store in the area of Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue west.
It’s alleged that both suspects performed the burglary with balaclavas when they approached the clerk inside the store while one of the boys held him up at gunpoint with a semi-automatic handgun.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the till before the suspects managed to get away.
Investigators have arrested a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old who are both from Toronto.
The 16-year-old boy has been charged with pointing a firearm and disguise with intent. He is facing a total of nine charges.
The 14-year-old boy is charged with robbery, disguise with intent and property obtained by crime.
Their names cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
